The Meadow Box
The Story Behind Mountain Post Society
When I was growing up, my grandmother had friends everywhere. They didn't have social media or group texts to keep up with one another. They wrote letters. And those letters weren't necessarily about important things. They were about life. Someone might share a recipe they'd discovered, tell a funny story about their week, recommend a book, mention something they'd bought and loved, or simply catch up on what was happening at home.
I remember loving that idea—that you could be far away from someone and still feel connected because they took the time to sit down and write to you.
Mountain Post Society was born from that feeling.
I wanted to bring a little of that old-fashioned connection back into our very modern lives. But this isn't a club where you have to attend meetings or keep up with anyone. It's much simpler than that. It's a letter in your mailbox. Each month, Mountain Post Society brings a little collection of things to read, think about, try, or tuck away. Stories, journaling prompts, recipes, books I'm reading, things I'm loving, ideas for making home feel better, and little pieces of everyday life worth sharing.
It's the kind of mail you might have received from a friend years ago—the kind you open with a cup of coffee and settle in with for a while. And maybe something inside inspires you to write a page in your journal. Maybe you try a recipe. Maybe you discover a new book. Maybe you write a letter to someone you haven't talked to in far too long. Or maybe you simply enjoy having something arrive in the mail that wasn't a bill, an advertisement, or a package you forgot you ordered.
Mountain Post Society is about slowing down, staying curious, and remembering that the little things are worth sharing.
A little bit of life, delivered by post.
