Blue Water Writing Co. started with a simple idea:

Writing should be fun.

Somewhere along the way, journaling became something we were supposed to be good at. We were supposed to write every day, fill beautiful pages, have meaningful thoughts, and somehow create the perfect journal.

That was never what writing meant to me.

I believe journaling can happen anywhere and look like anything. I live in the Tahoe Region and I love to incorporate nature and the mountains as often as possible. That is why I take a journal with me everywhere and then I have the opportunity to capture those thoughts and ideas the nature invokes whenever they hit.

It can be a page filled with thoughts, a list of things you love, a memory you don't want to forget, a recipe, a ticket stub, a photograph, a flower I found, a funny little story, or a collection of things that simply make you happy.

That's what drew me to junk journaling. I love the freedom of it—the layers, the scraps of paper, the little bits of ephemera, the unexpected things tucked into a pocket. There are no rules and no right way to do it.

So I created Blue Water Writing Co. to make journaling feel more approachable, creative, and—most importantly—fun.

Our writing boxes are filled with things that give you a reason to sit down and create. They're a starting point when you don't know what to write and a little inspiration when you need it. Because sometimes all it takes is a beautiful piece of paper, a good pen, and a handful of things to play with. And then the stories start to come.

Blue Water Writing Co. is about keeping the art of writing by hand alive—one page, one memory, and one little bit of paper at a time.
